Geoff Straight
Lead Fishing Guide
Geoff has been fishing since he could walk (claims his Mom) and landed his first rock bass at age 18 months. He has been a fishaholic ever since and was lucky enough to grow up in the incredible fish rich region of Lake of the Woods in North Western Ontario. He worked as a forest fire fighter and part time fishing guide throughout the summers while completing a B. Comm degree at McGill University in Montreal.
After moving to BC nine years ago, he picked up a fly rod and fell in love with the sport. After meeting up with a few steelhead along the way he discovered his true passion for steelheading. Having the chance to explore and help pioneer fly fishing on the Bell Irving River in recent years has been a challenging dream. Specializing in fishing on the Nass River, he has logged an average of 60 days each season guiding for steelhead during September and October. Guest’s safety along with maintaining a great local knowledge of the area are his top priorities to ensure clients have a great time and land some big fish.
During the off-season, he resides in Vernon, BC with his family and helps to run a busy helicopter skiing business.
J.C. Trepanier
Assistant Fishing Guide
Born in “la belle province” of Quebec, JC has been described by clients as a “souped up Ford Capri”. Whether this is good or bad, one doesn’t know for sure but a day with JC will be an adventure guaranteed. As a fully certified ACMG Mountain Guide, you are in reliable and knowledgeable hands with your safety and comfort as his main concern.
Always a keen fisherman, JC has taken up the sport of spey casting for steelhead with a vigor that can only be described as “I wish us married guys were able to do that”. Over the last several years he has refined his technique and guiding skills while working at Bell 2 Lodge and for Spey Lodge in Terrace, BC. Consistently logging 60 plus days a season on the Bell Irving River, he knows this river well and will provide great fishing in all weather conditions for our clients.
During the winter, he works as a lead heliski guide for Last Frontier Heliskiing.
George Rosset
President
George was born in Biel-Bienne in Switzerland and is tri-lingual. He immigrated to Canada a first time at age 21 and narrowly missed a career as a professional football player in Montreal. He returned to Switzerland and worked for IBM and 3M. He met his wife Edith in 1974. They soon discovered their love for heli-skiing in BC. In 1991 they moved with their children to Gold Bridge and started TLH Heliskiing. Five years later Last Frontier Heliskiing was born. To this day they enjoy spending their powder days with skiers and boarders from around the world.
Franz Fux
General Manager
Franz is originally from Switzerland where he worked as a cow farmer in the Alps. He still has cowbells from the good old days. Franz followed his heart instead of the cows and became a full-fledged mountain guide (one of many in his family). The amazing mountains of British Columbia lured him to Canada where he now lives with his family. You can find Franz either at Bell 2 Lodge or at the homestead in Vernon BC.
Angelika Nosworthy
Lodge Manager
Born and raised in Germany, Angelika finished her apprenticeship in the hospitality industry before her first trip to Beautiful British Columbia in 1989. She fell in love with this diverse province and decided to make it her home. Her work lead her through the Cariboo, Coast and Chilcotin before making her way up north to Bell 2 Lodge where her decision to join the team was an easy one. Her goal is to make your well-deserved vacation a memorable one and she looks forward to welcoming you in our little paradise.
